Pizza Republic: Pick + Mix Pizza

Image
This was very interesting to me! I told my colleagues I won't do my own pizza as I am afraid I might get the worst combination of toppings. When it comes to food, I'd say, I am not that adventurous, specially when I don't really have the luxury of time to wait, as my tummy seems to be in command of my entire body. Still my friend insisted that I create my own version of Pizza. So, here it is! My first Pick+Mix Pizza, by yours truly. This is a meat lover + hawaian + cheessy pizza! I asked them to stuff the top with bacon, ham, cheese, ground beef, tuna flakes, sausage, more cheese, more bacon, and ham and sausage! Yes, it's unlimited, you can ask them to put in some more! That's the exciting part, you can add as much toppings as you want. And hey, I asked them put some bell pepper, corn, chilli powder and of course, barbeque sauce. I asked some pineapple also be added on the other side of the dough, so the other side won't have it. Just in case the tast...

Zubuchon @ The Walk, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City

Image
This is going to be my first review of food. I feel like doing this now, so I am going to share our experience while having lunch at Zubu Chon at The Walk, Cebu IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City. These are the menu of Zubuchon so you will have an idea how much it would be. I took the liberty of taking pictures as they did not object to what I did. Zubuchon was our main course. They also have some noodles (pancit) They offer very affordable food items. They also have desserts. You can see they have several finishers for your meal.  Drinks, they have unique and weird drinks like Kamias shake, Santol, etc. These are not so common in any restaurant. Zubuchon is quite close to a Cebuano lechon, so that would be 4.5 out of 5. With 5 being the highest in terms of food taste. I enjoyed devouring some slices of these stuffed squid with "sisig". It met my expectation of taste, and exceeded my expectation in the presentation. It's not an ordinary ...

Do You Choose The Songs On Your Playlist Carefully Every time? Or Do You Inadvertently Add Music To Your Playlist And Don't Care At All?

God created every human being with a built-in surround-sound music system. It resembles the on-hold music you hear when you're waiting to talk to your doctor or the music that wafts through the mall to entice you to buy more. Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. Philippians 4:8 Our internal music is composed of the thoughts we think over and over. These include selected memories - maybe something your mom or dad once said to you, a word of encouragement from a teacher or the way you felt when you weren't picked to be on the team or to be someone's friend. As you dwell on these memories, experiences and thoughts, they are recorded on the soundtrack of your mind and play continuously all day long. Whatever you play on this internal sound system affects everything about you - you...

HAVE YOU EVER WANTED SOMETHING SO BAD THAT YOU SAID THESE WORDS..."WHATEVER IT TAKES" OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN? WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN?

The deeper your character, the easier it will be for you to develop an attitude of excellence. In fact, if you wish to experience success and fruitlessness in life, character is a necessary foundation. Without it, you will never survive success.. Although God desires success for each of us, success comes with inherent pitfalls to which the flesh is vulnerable. If there is in you a shallowness of character, you will easily fall prey to the clutches of pride, avarice, greed or the abuse of power. So how do you develop character? We want the good things of life handed to us on a silver platter. But there is a price to pay for godly character. God uses trials and lean times to mature you spiritually and to develop in you the character necessary for you to be fruitful in your relationships and finances. By this My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. (John 15:8) Imagine you owned a four-karat diamond worth thousands of dollars. T...

Wish It and Reveal Clues to the Best Solutions for You

Image
Your hopes for your office provide far more than useless fantasy. Explored in detail, they reveal answers already rattling around in your head. Taking time to visualize your deeply desired office and make a wish likely reveal valuable like these: If everything were perfect. . . "I have more filing cabinets." If this is your desire, it feels like a chore to unearth filed papers. You need to make filing a lot more convenient by putting cabinets where they're withing easy reach, and putting a filing system in place that really works. ( That's coming soon!) "It wouldn't look like this. It would be neat." Your office probably requires some deep-down organizing and decision making. You probably need to do a significant amount of discarding and rearranging. Storage space is lacking and there's no place to put things away. Neatness is good, but not if it means that things are just thrown into drawers so they'll be hidden. "I would...

HAVE SOME FUN! WHO SAYS IT'S JUST FOR THE YOUNG ONES? IT COULD ALSO BE FOR THE ONCE YOUNG...

Image
I was browsing on facebook when I saw this video that made me laugh, and thought that FUN is not limited to the young people. Having fun is really a choice. These videos would prove that age is just a number! :-) Play jumping rope! It's a lot of fun! Or you can even dance to the music like this lady right here. Or run a race like this. :-) Or even do extreme sports like this. :-) I hope this reminded you that life is meant to be enjoyed. Have some fun! Spend it on things that would take your breath away out of fun and enjoyment! Welcome the positive energies into your body and and continue to be awesome! :-)

QUOTE OF THE DAY: #3

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "WISDOM, BACKED BY courage make great; because immortal, they immortalize; each is as great as his mind, and to him who knows, everything is possible. A man without knowledge, a world in darkness. Understanding, and will, they are the eyes and the hands; without courage the mind is dead."

STATEMENT OF THE DAY: #1

MAINTAIN AN AIR or uncertainty about your business. Admiration for the new is what bestows value upon the accomplished. To play cards exposed is neither useful, nor good taste. Create anticipation by the declaring of your purpose, and especially where the height of your office commands public attention display a bit of mystery about everything, and by it further the respect in which you are held; even when you show your hand escape the obvious; just as in the daily round you do not disclose your inner self to everyone. A prudent silence is the sacred vessel of wisdom. Purpose declared was never highly esteemed and commits itself to criticism in advance, and should it fail, the misfortune is doubled. Imitate, therefore, the ways of God in order to keep those about you watchful, and alert.

33 Things You Must Have For A Great Life

Have peace enough to pass all understanding. Have hope to keep your heart looking forward. Have strength enough to battle obstacles and overcome them. Have commitment enough to not give up too soon. Have faith enough to please God. Have fun enough to enjoy every aspect of life. Have patience enough to let faith complete its work in you. Have love enough to give to those who deserve it the least but need it the most. Have focus to say no to many good ideas. Have forgiveness enough to never have to remember what you said. Have character enough to do in the dark what you would do in the light. Have gratitude enough to say "thank you" for the small things. Have purpose enough to know why, not just how. Have perseverance enough to run the entire race that is set out before you. Have wisdom enough to fear God and obey Him. Have responsibility enough to be the most dependable person you know. Have confidence enough to know that you and God make a majority. Have ki...

QUOTE OF THE DAY: #2

Quote of the day:" MIND AND SPIRIT. The two poles upon which rests the firmament of our faculties: the one without the other, a happiness by half: mind is not enough, spirit is necessary. The lot of a fool, to fail in his calling, professional, commercial, political, social."

WHY PEOPLE QUIT?

Among the things that war against our excelling still more are our individual quitting points - points where we tend to give up. This is where some person or task tests your patience to a certain limit and you say, "That's it! I'm through!" This can happen on our jobs, in dealing with our children or in our struggles with temptation. Every single one of us has quitting points. What are some of yours? Maybe you have a low tolerance for problems in relationships. When things are running smooth, everything's fine. But what happens when the temperature begins to rise and the two of you don't see eye to eye on things like you used to? You feel the heat. Finally, when the relationship thermometer hits 104 degrees (98 or 84), you say, "That's it! I'm not taking this anymore. I'm out of here!" When we reach a certain level of physical, emotional, or mental pain, we reach a quitting point and our systems begin to shut down. This quitting...

QUOTE OF THE DAY: #1

Quote of the day: "EVERYTHING TODAY HAS its point, but the art of making yourself count for something greatest; more is demanded to produce one wise man today, than seven formerly; and more is needed to deal with a single individual in our times, than with a whole people in the past."

It's My Dad's Death Anniversary Today And I Am Remembering What He Taught Me About Life

Image
Today I remember my Dad. This is the 12th anniversary of my Dad's date of joining the Almighty. I tried to browse of the pictures we had before, when Dad was forced to take pictures with the family and for pictures when there are occasions like birthdays and birthdays. Haha Picture of Dad attending a wedding as a principal sponsor. Can't remember who was married that time. :D I got some of the blurry photos from my sister's file. I am away from home so I am only able to get soft copies of poorly scanned pictures. These may be blurry but the memories of my Dad is still so vivid in my mind. I could still remember his lessons about life.  My Dad and Mom with my batch.haha we are the second batch of kids. The baby is our youngest sister. Mom and Dad with my Siblings. What Dad taught me about life? 1. Excellence - he was the one who actually pushed me beyond my limits. He was the one who challenged me every now and then to give more. To get les...

STAND OUT; DON'T BLEND IN

The majority, many times, is a group of highly motivated snails. If a thousand people say something foolish, it is still foolish. Truth is never dependent upon consensus of opinion. In 1 Peter 2:9 the Bible says of us Christians, "Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." Romans 12:2 exhorts us, "And be not conformed to this world, but be ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God." One of the greatest compliments that anyone can give you is to say, "You're different!" Christians live in this world, but we are aliens. We should talk differently, act differently, and perform differently. We should stand out. There should be something different about you. If you do not stand out in a group, if there is not something unique or something in your life, you should re-ev...

BEING A STUDENT WHILE YOU ARE ALSO A TEACHER COULD BE CHALLENGING, BUT WHEN YOU GO THROUGH IT WITH LEARNING AS A GOAL IN MIND, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY IN THE PROCESS

Image
A man who wants to learn needs a teacher. A teacher is not perfect, but he has failed so many times than the student has tried. So, when it seems like what the teacher said is useless and vain, choose not to question its wisdom and do it. It's more productive to keep working on what he instructs you to do, rather than trying to understand and figure out the reason why he asked to do an activity. I am blessed to have this man in the process of learning, he's trained so many players, he's been playing since time immemorial (at least in my perspective) and he's got a lot to say about my posture, my style, my movement, and about this sport (tennis). With sir Jun Tusloc, known to be one of the best if not the only best, in training players of tennis. In the court, no lawyer, no auditor, no accountant, no director, no position in play, only players, equal footing with the rest. He taught me a lot of things today. He was patient enough to push me. And just when...

TWO MINUTE QUIZ TO KNOW HOW GOOD YOU ARE AT ORGANIZING AND WHETHER YOU STILL HAVE HOPE ON IT!

Let's  take this Two Minute Organizing Quiz. Because I want you to take this quiz honestly, I will ask you to answer the questions honestly first before looking at the meaning of your scores.  This post is intended for you to assess yourself on how good you are at doing the "organizing" stuff. But if you are not, don't despair, I will keep posting DIY and Self-help organizing tips here. So you can come back or subscribe.  So, first off, let me tell you. I am not writing this because I am excellent at organizing. But I am starting to get organized and I love the benefits, I have accomplished things, way more than I have imagined. And I want to share the benefit of increased productivity mainly because, I started to get organized.  Now, take a small piece of paper and a pen or pencil. Just write "Yes" or "No" for each of the 10 questions asked. This is a simple one. Here we go. I feel in control of my office. I immediately put...

How Do You Know He/She Is Your Best Friend?

Image
Misery wants your company. But, you don't have to let it in the door. In Proverbs 27:19 (TLB) we read, "A mirror reflects a man's face, but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses." Proverbs 13:20 tells us, "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed." We become like those with whom we associate. We need to be careful of the kind of insulation we use in our lives. We need to insulate ourselves from negative people and ideas. But we should never insulate ourselves from Godly counsel and wisdom. A number of years ago I found myself at a stagnation point in my life. I was unproductive and unable to see God's direction clearly. One day I noticed that almost all of my friends were in the same situation. When we got together, our problems were all we talked about. As I prayed about this matter, God showed me that I needed "foundational-level" people in my life. Such peo...
