Maldives: A Quick Travel Guide Summary for Pinoy and Foreigners

Image
More than two years ago, I believe, a friend of mine, out of the blue, reconnected with me. He said he's up to something, and he wants me to join the group. I was curious, but I do have my reservations. I went with him in a so called "meet-up" and was introduced to a bunch of crazy beautiful people. Meet-ups were followed by more incidences of get-together. Until so much have been shared and I was educated and learned a lot. There's one thing in that group that has lead me, somehow, to realize this dream. I was affirmed that "I can". Yes, one of the important lessons I've learned is that if I would truly believe in something, ask of it, as if it's already received, it shall become a reality. Sounds like a bible verse right? And yes, it's true, whether you heard it from me first time, from the bible or from someone else, I am telling you it's true.  So, this is the story of our Maldives dream come true. El Nido: Tour A (Small Lagoon, Shimizu Island, Secret Lagoon, Big Lagoon, 7th Commando Beach)

I attended the PICPA Annual National Convention in Puerto Princesa Palawan. After the convention, we decided to go on a tour in El Nido. It has always been my dream to set foot in this well known place (at least to me and couple of wanderlust friends). I managed to convince my friends to join me in the tour. So let me tell you what the Tour A of El Nido Package as standardized by their Tourism Authority. But, I should warn you, that you either spend or swim your way to get there.  As we reached the Small Lagoon, we were informed that we needed to swim. It means we need to have our own dry bag and/or underwater camera. We had nothing. Our camera are not waterproof, we only had our...

To travel is to make memories in different places. Fortunately, for ASEAN member nation like Philippines, to travel to neighboring Asian country is easier, no need to secure a VISA because of the VISA exemption.  I have recently shared what I did in Thailand here . Now, I just want to share tidbits of what I can remember of Siem Reap, Cambodia! From Thailand, we took a train, about (if I remembered it right) 6-8 hours of travel. That's where we met french ladies can't remember their names, but it was fun meeting foreigners in a foreign country. As we entered Cambodia, I look at the people, and they look like me. I feel, that I belong. Same color of the skin, same features in the face, makes me think, I am really asian.  As we arrived, we took a tuktuk ride to our hotel. The driver of the tuktuk agreed to take us to Angkor Wat the next day for the sunrise.  As we've agreed on terms (time, pay, etc), he invited us to dinner. He told us that he can ...
