Secrets of the Successful: I.M.A.G.E. - "A" is for what? Tips of the GREAT Men.

Image
I have shared to you previously the secrets of the successful, is IMAGE. An acronym that means I is for Innovation (if you haven't read it yet, read here ), M is for Mastery  (you can find it  here ) , the next letter is "A" . What is it for? "A" is for Authenticity. The old model of leadership, as I've mentioned before was very much about power you get from the authority of your position and the influence you'd have from a title, as you've now learned so well. But in this radically new period of business, your ability to have an impact and make a contribution comes more from who you are as a person than from the authority you receive by your placement on some org chart. It's never been so important to be trustworthy. It's never been so important to be someone others respect. It's never been so important to keep the promises you make to your teammates and customers. And it's never been so essential to be authentic. I should also...

Secrets of the Successful: I.M.A.G.E. - "M" is for what?

I have recently shared to you that the secret of the successful is I.M.A.G.E. And by now, if you have been following my blog, you know what "I" means, Innovation . If you haven't read it, click here . Now, I am going to reveal to you what the next letter means, "M" is for Mastery. Committing yourself to mastery at what you do, mastery at your craft - whether your craft is selling staplers or educating children - is the only standard to operate under in these change-rich times. Anything less and you'll be left behind. The comedian Steve Martin said it really well when he advised, 'Be so good that people cannot ignore you.' Look, if people you work with and the people you serve only like you, you'll probably not last that long in this age of intense competition. You want people to love you. To adore you. To worship the very ground you stand on because you are so staggeringly good at what you do. And the only standard that will get you...

Secrets of the Successful is I.M.A.G.E.

I am happy to have stumbled upon a great learning from the book I've been reading recently. And these I will be sharing to you are the idea of the author. I was just amazed at his concepts and principles at winning in life. For the next few post starting this one, I will be sharing to you the concept with an acronym - IMAGE! I.M.A.G.E! "I" is for INNOVATION! Innovation always trumps repeating what might have worked in the past. Doing what worked even a year or two ago amid the terrifically unpredictable conditions under which we now do business is a good way to get into some bad trouble. Customers and all the people around you want fresh value and novel forms of excellence - not a repackaging of old goods.  YOU NEED SOME STRETCHING! You need to constantly flex your mind and elevate your abilities by consistently asking themselves 'What can I improve today?' You have to deeply hold a commitment to making everything you touch better than you ...

On Failure! What's Your Take? How Do You Respond To It? How Are You With Failure?

Image
The road to success is filled with people who fail. Sounds like a contradiction, doesn't it? Yes, it is very true. The road to success is filled with failures. "How could that be?" you ask. It is very simple: people who eventually become successful are those who are not afraid to try. They are people who know that failure is always a possibility in any endeavor. They don't like failure, they even abhor failure, but at the same time they are not afraid of it. Did you know the greatest slugger of all time is also the man who for many years held the major league strikeout record? That's right, Babe Ruth, the legend himself, struck out more times than any other man who ever played the game of baseball until Mickey Mantle broke his strike-out record. Babe Ruth was not afraid to go bat and take a healthy cut. Interesting, isnt' it? And it gives us insight into what we mean when we make the strange statement that the road to success is filled with failu...

My Dream - Sandview Travel Calaguas!

Image
What's with Calaguas? Why has it become the talk of the town, of the province of the tourists? Why does it draw attention from the local and international tourists recently? It's always been a dream for me to be refreshed and have my vacation/rejuvenation in a peaceful and serene place such as Calaguas.  The purity and virginity of the island offers great opportunity for yourself to enjoy your sole-searching-soul! Fantastic natural views of the island is already a hyped up experience. If you want a place where relaxation is embedded in the area! Calaguas is the go-to place. A nature lover would really be in cloud nine to be in a place like Calaguas! I would be so thrilled to be able to travel and stay in Calaguas! It would be a surreal experience! You see, I always want to connect to the world. I want to connect to the universe. Having the natures' beauty as my melancholic orchestra while I cherish the scenic and incredibly stunning horizon would remind me o...

Tin's Birthday with Boy Zugba Experience (Review)

Image
So it's my friend's birthday, she's asked me if I'm available tonight. I told her yes. Without telling her we really planned on a "surprise" dinner party? haha I've been poked (verbally) by the ultimate organizer Oting! Who thought I dropped the bomb with Tin.Haha  I think we ended up, being surprised by the one who celebrated her birthday! ahaha I honestly told her, "Boy Zugba" haven't dined there yet, when she asked me for a suggestion of a place that's not yet in my blog. And it's a real honest answer. Although, predetermined. :-) At the entrance I am glad to have been greeted by this sign, which means "Hey friends! Welcome! C'mon in to my Visayan Kitchen!" And when I take picture, they seem to have been the magnet! They're there. :-) Hello ladies! I told her, this write up will be a feature of her. In honor of her birthday!haha so here it is T! :-) Our friends are not the usual f...
