Mission Impossible?
The story is told of a Scotsman who was an extremely hard worker. He not only held himself to a high standard but set the same for those who were under him. During one project where he was setting seemingly impossible deadlines for his men, a coworker needled him, saying, "Hey, Scotty! Don't you know that Rome wasn't built in a day?"
"Yes, I read about that," the Scotsman replied. "That's because I wasn't the foreman on that job!"
Do you accept the normal limitations that stop everyone else? Are you willing to accept other accept? Don't do it! That's the beginning mediocrity.
Remember the bumblebee. According to the known laws of aerodynamics, it should be scientifically impossible for the bumblebee to fly. The size, weight and shape of the bee's body in relation to its wingspan make it theoretically unable to get off the ground. But no one told the bumblebee, so it flies anyway, whatever the scientists might say!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)
If God has a great plan for our lives, isn't it tie we believed the same? Isn't it time we believed what God believes? That's called faith, and our attitude is a direct barometer of our faith.
When the great architect Frank Lloyd Wright was 83 years old, he was asked which of his works would be remembered as his greatest masterpiece. He replied, "My next one!"
The future is brighter when your attitude is right. You'll have more energy, your creativity level will increase, and you'll stay younger!
